The Academy

The Piano Academy provides a positive and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, creativity and ability to focus by developing their musical skills.

Teaching Philosophy: The Piano Academy embraces a gentle approach to piano teaching.  It guides it students to explore music through a supportive environment where they feel encouraged and motivated. The piano academy aims at creating harmony between the student and the piano, ultimately fostering a lifelong love and appreciation of the instrument.

Background: Ms. Rodriguez opened the Piano Academy in order to provide a joyful way for students to grow as musicians no matter their level of musicianship. The first students in the academy came from a variety of backgrounds and were interested in different non musical pursuits – law, medicine, and even younger students whose main interests were participating in sporting activities. Nearly two decades later, students from the academy have ranged from novice pianists to most recently a student who performed as a soloist with orchestra in South Florida. Current and former students have been enrolled in educational institutions across South Florida and the United States.  Current and former students have won a number of prizes and performed in concert stages, ranging from those locally in South Florida to Carnegie Hall.
